Monica Green and Joe RichardsonYork Cares has awarded our team with a Golden Moments Award for sharing the employee-volunteering charity’s good news stories through in-kind PR support for almost 20 years.

Partners PR director Monica Green and Account Manager Joe Richardson were among the 90 guests who attended the awards evening at Aviva’s head office premises in York city centre.

The 15th annual Gold Moments Awards celebrated the huge difference that employee-volunteers have made in the city over the past year.  Awards went to numerous businesses and individuals including Johnson’s Nurseries for their ongoing support for the York Cares Environment & Sustainability programme, Portakabin for supporting Knavesmire and Wigginton Schools with community challenges, and York Science Park for their involvement in Easter egg and hygiene bank collections.

Monica was interviewed by Elly Fiorentini from BBC Radio York about the growth and success of York Cares during the past 20 years.  She said: “It comes as no surprise that so many businesses have joined York Cares. They make it so easy for employers to enable their staff to volunteer their time and skills, and help individuals and communities in most need. It is wonderful to receive a Golden Moments award in recognition of our PR support.”

Other award winners came from Ardent Financial Planning, Aviva, Benenden Health, boxxe, Cabinet Office, City of York Council, Fera, Hiscox, Nestle, Systra, University of York, Virgin Money, and York St John University,
