The Brief

Based in Leeds, Gough & Kelly is one of Yorkshire’s fastest growing companies, delivering security, fire, and electrical services to clients across the UK. 

The company’s client base spans the commercial, education, sporting, and events sectors and includes household names such as Leeds United, Castleford Tigers, Morrisons, DHL, Leeds City College, the University of Sheffield, City of York Council, and the city’s LNER Community Stadium. 

The team was awarded two major London contracts in 2022 to provide security services at both the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and RideLondon, which sees more than 20,000 cyclists tackle a 100-mile city centre course.

Our job involves keeping the company and its activities on the radar of customers - past, present, and future - to ensure Gough & Kelly is front of mind when new security contracts are tendered and awarded. A key part of the campaign is focused on building the Gough & Kelly employer brand to help attract the quantity and calibre of recruits the business needs to serve a rapidly growing customer base.

The Results

The fact that Gough & Kelly has embraced PR has not gone unnoticed by its customers, and the directors regularly receive positive feedback. Operations director Ian Crawford says the company’s improved visibility is helping to attract new talent, as well as opening doors for new contracts and paving the way for their future expansion plans.
