Promoting Litchfield Group's low carbon home building

The Brief

The Litchfield Group was commissioned to construct 12 unique low carbon homes at Brookwood Farm, Woking using for the first time on this scale its three-step system for the building envelope – Sheerframe windows, Masterdor doors and ICF Tech walls. We were tasked with devising and delivering an ongoing campaign throughout the build to ensure The Litchfield Group maximised the publicity opportunity to associate its system with low and zero carbon home-building.

The Campaign

We established relationships with key stakeholders early to secure buy-in from all parties and define the parameters of any media relations activities. Working closely with the developer, we secured numerous articles in key building and local authority trade media at all build stages. We also generated publicity around the official opening to ensure the project’s endorsement by the House Builders Federation (HBF) in post-completion PR.

The Results

We achieved extensive coverage over a two-year period at all stages of the build including feature articles in Building Products, Local Authority Building & Maintenance (LABM), Building Innovations and 24Housing. We also helped secure a third party ‘best practice’ case study with the Zero Carbon Hub.
