Launching a customer support programme for Saint-Gobain Glass

The Brief

Saint-Gobain Building Glass asked us to launch the newly re-invigorated and updated Planitherm Network to window fabricators and installers. The Planitherm Network was first launched in 2011 and it had been hugely successful in helping fabricators and installers to win more work and increase their profits.  In 2018 it was time to update the initiative with the creation of a suite of tools and support materials designed to help fabricators and installers to really understand the needs of the consumer and install the right glass for the right situation.

The Campaign

The PR campaign targeted the glazing trade press with a series of news releases, in-depth feature articles, case studies and competitions. The campaign was designed to educate window fabricators and installers about the important role that glass plays in delivering comfort in the home.

The message was that those fabricators and installers who join the Planitherm Network are being given the opportunity to win more business by upselling to homeowners based on the benefits of different types of Planitherm glass – including enhanced security, reduced overheating, noise reduction, energy efficiency and furniture fade protection.

The integrated campaign also included advertising, social media, a new website, suite of literature and email marketing designed by Saint-Gobain Building Glass’s design agency.

The Results

Planitherm competition winnerThe initial launch campaign attracted 5% more members to the Planitherm Network, and Network Member logins to the website increased from 12 per month to 106 per month.  The PR was achieved in all the key trade press including three feature articles.
